About

Mama, lifestyle and fitness coach, personal trainer, pilates teacher, writer, entrepreneur, introverted extrovert… I am passionate about empowering women through strength, self-care and a healthy mindset.  I believe that health should be approached holistically encompassing mind body and spirit.

The truth is, I wasn't always so active and I didn't always have a great relationship with my body or with food.  I used to spend my days at a desk and my evenings in front of the TV or in the pub.  I didn't move very much and ate pretty badly.  It was a lifestyle that left me with low energy and an even lower mood.

I can totally relate to anyone wanting to make changes but not knowing where to start.

I know what it's like to feel disconnected from my body and trapped in over thinking mode.  I know what it's like to think that exercise and fitness is something that’s for 'other people'.  I know what it's like to feel totally intimidated walking into a gym.  I know what it's like to feel weak and sluggish.  I know what it's like to struggle with motivation and then beat myself up over not making the best choices.  I know what it's like to look in the mirror and not like what you see.

And I know the effect that all these things have on your life.

From feeling this way, I made it my mission to figure this stuff out.

After all, who wants to spend time feeling stuck, low energy and disempowered when there are so many more...well …FUN things to be doing?!

Life is just too short...RIGHT??!!

Since 2005 I have been studying exercise, movement, mindset and motivation.  I traded in my office job for leggings and trainers and now work full time as a personal trainer, pilates teacher and life coach.  I continue to study different forms of movement as well as meditation and mindfulness techniques.

On this journey, I have come to know what it feels like to be strong, to feel empowered in my body and inspired by what it can do.  I have learned what it is to love myself unconditionally, regardless of the size or shape of my body.  I have learned how to move past my personal limitations.  I now know that I (as well as every other person in the universe) have a unique super power that the world needs.  I have come to realise that I am good enough.  I have seen how I can still be strong and empowered regardless of the challenges life throws at me.  I have learned how to meet myself with grace and to embrace and accept my sensitivities…but still be a badass mama!

Most of all I have learned that ANYONE can change their life at any time.  It doesn't have to require huge will power or an iron will.  All that is needed is a gentle commitment to love and treat yourself kindly.

I believe strongly that through practicing authenticity, self-care and compassion, we can really stand in our own power and create positive change in our own lives and the world around us.
